Tips to Reduce the Pain from a Toothache
With the pain in your mouth that is out of control, your thoughts are just so scattered and you can't focus because of the pain, you want relief and you want it now. The first thing you can do is go right to the medicine cabinet and grab something to relieve the pain. Medications work great at first to let you be able to think again and not be miserable, but then you should go ahead and look into what in the world is causing it. If the meds don't work all the way, the go ahead and go for the ice. Place ice in a bag and hold the bag up to your cheek for a good ten minutes or so, this works to stop the pain quite well. Pressure should always be avoided with this, do not chew. If you could eat soft foods such as banannas or ice cream this is perfect. If you start chewing gum or hard candy you are guaranteed pain, avoid this at all costs. You are also going to want to go ahead and wash your mouth out a whole lot so that you can keep it clean. Some type of anti-bacterial mouth wash is best, but the best advice would come from your dentist in Stigler Oklahoma. If you still have the pain after trying all these things to reduce the pain then there is something causing the pain that you just can't fix on your own. Get to the dentist and get it fixed so you can move on with the rest of your life and not let the pain hold you back.
